Watch This Severely Neglected Dog Magically Transform Into The Prettiest Husky Boy
Whiskey’s life hadn’t been easy.
During the first three years of his life, he knew nothing but neglect. For who knows how long, Whiskey couldn’t soak up all the beauties of a dog’s life properly.
He coped with each and every new day, hoping that someone would eventually help him turn the page to a much brighter life.
Fortunately, he was found by just the right people!
Found In Terrible Condition
When the Valley Animal Center team, from Fresno, California, came across Whiskey (initially named Frijolito), they were shocked.
This poor boi had a severe case of demodex that was untreated for a very long time. As a result, he suffered hair loss and bad skin conditions, which left him in so much pain.
“He had demodex that was left untreated, leading to loss of hair and bad skin conditions. We can’t imagine the pain he went through,” the California rescue wrote on Instagram.
The rescue dedicated their time and worked hard to give Whiskey a new chance. Yet the journey wasn’t a picnic. To help him, they had to shave all his fur and treat Whiskey for mange with medication.
Despite the hardship, Whiskey never, ever lost his hope. He showed resilience throughout the recovery, as if he was trying to thank his caregivers for helping him.
And, for things to be better, his playfulness was back after only a few short treatments!
“After shaving his fur and continuous treatment, his fur is now starting to heal, and his puppy playfulness is back,” the rescue added.
Here Comes The Prettiest Boi
In the wonderful update post by VAC, Whiskey’s remarkable transformation was shown to the world! He was literally unrecognizable after only a few weeks in the Center, causing endless heartwarming reactions by the people who followed his journey.
Whiskey was no longer a struggling dog with missing skin. He was now a magnificent Husky whose eyes sparked with joy and happiness! On top of all that – he now has the fluffiest, shiniest black and white fur!
But, that wasn’t everything for Whiskey!
In a very short amount of time, he found a beautiful forever home with a woman named Mwimi, who welcomed him with open arms.
“Thanks to your support, we were able to provide Frijolito with the care he needed, and we’re thrilled to announce that he has found his forever home,” the Center wrote in the post.
Whiskey now has a brand-new family and is surrounded by the people who truly love him. He gets to experience many new things, from taking a dip in a kiddie pool to having a blast with his hoomans on the beach.
All his family wants for Whiskey is to make up for the life he didn’t have in the past.
“We just want his life to be full of happiness and love,” Mwimi told The Dodo.
From now on, his days will be filled with joy, laughter, and many exciting adventures. And, that’s pretty much everything he was looking for!
