Two “Dangerous” Rottweilers Break All Stereotypes, Make People Fall In Love With Them
You must have found yourself in a situation where a dangerous-looking dog passed by and gave you goosebumps. This is actually a normal reaction and often justified because there are dogs that are actually capable of committing a terrible misdeed.
Sadly, there are breeds that are often unfairly bound by these stereotypes. So you will often hear an elderly person telling their son or daughter in a panic to hurry to the other side of the street because a Bull Dog or a Rottweiler is approaching.
Although these breeds can sometimes be downright dangerous, often, the situation is completely different.
It is true that most people like to stick to established beliefs, but today’s story about two Rottweilers that break such stereotypes changes the perspective from the ground up.
Emma, A Personification Of Love
When Mits Nishikawa and his girlfriend, Sammi, got Emma the dog, they weren’t sure if they made a good decision. Their suspicions were aroused by her puppy blues, which were many when she first joined the family.
Aside from that, the fact that she was a Rottweiler made them even more anxious, considering the reputation of this very breed. However, Emma’s immense sweetness and positive energy would soon show them that there was no room for worry.
Soon these two, now big dog lovers, realized that they could no longer imagine life without Emma. They spent all their free time with her – feeding her, talking to her, playing with her, holding her in their arms, and especially petting her.
“She basically just begs for pets all the time,” Mits told Cuddle Buddies. “She is incredibly well socialized, but above all, I think super vocal.”
Unfortunately, not all people had the chance to see Emma in that edition, so many still thought that she was some very dangerous dog that should be avoided. However, Mits and Sammi did everything to show them that this was not the case.
“We go to this particular dog park every day,” Sammi said. “And then this tiny golden retriever puppy ran towards Emma and they started playing.”
“And then people saw how sweet Emma can be,” Mits happily added. “And now they see each other probably five or six times a week.”
Mits also said that they chew on each other, wrestle, and then nap soundly. However, for him, the craziest thing is that they’re always holding hands or touching their noses.
Mits and Sammi thoroughly enjoy Emma’s presence as well as the romantic relationship between her and the cute Golden Retriever, Finn. Yet, what makes them the happiest is the fact that the people who follow Emma on her Instagram profile also enjoy it.
“We hope that we can really push this new image of Rottweilers,” Mits said. “They are so affectionate.”
Xena, Confirmation Of The Above
Emma is not just an isolated case, which is confirmed by the story of another Rottweiler named Xena. Just like the Nishikawa family, when Leroy Mnguni and his fiancee first brought Xena into their home, they were tense because they didn’t know if the Rottweiler would adjust well.
They were most worried about her relationship with one child who was afraid of dogs. However, it was this very meeting that dispelled all their worries and doubts.
“There was a child here that was petrified, like, as in cry if the dog gets too close,” Mrs. Mnguni said. “Xena played with her so gently that the father was like I can not believe that you’ve done this with my kid.”
Yet, this incredible Rottweiler did not stop there but continued to spread love and positive energy wherever she went. In addition to making her parents happy every day, she also spread a positive image of her breed outside her home.
Almost every day, her mother takes her for a walk by the nearby river where there are other people. In the beginning, those same humans ran away from her, but thanks to her positive attitude and immense love, that changed very quickly.
“It’s always this narrative that they are aggressive dogs, it’s what the Internet wants us to see,” Mrs. Mnguni said. “But then she goes gently up to them and she waits for them to rub her bum.”
Last but not least whom Xena managed to charm were the other dogs with whom she very quickly established a great relationship. She soon found her best friend with whom she plays at the park almost every day.
Her cousins, two Poodles, were somewhat more aggressive, so it was not so easy to find a common language with them. However, this incredible dog successfully overcame that obstacle and befriended them as well.
“So I really believe she’s brought onto this planet to make people fall in love with doggies,” Mrs. Mnguni said. “I can’t imagine life without her. She’s such a joy.”
We hope that you also enjoyed these two cute stories and that the next time you meet a Rottweiler, you will stop and give it a pet instead of running to the other side of the street.
Then, the mission of this article would be fulfilled.
