Seeing an abandoned dog on the street is one of the most heartbreaking scenes a true dog lover can witness. Unfortunately, it is something that we come upon every day. 

One big-hearted man witnessed exactly that one day when he was passing by the street. To make matters worse, besides the dog being curled up in a patch of grass, he also saw the poor tiny beings in her arms. 

The sad cries of these little babies broke this man’s heart. However, they also motivated him to do everything to help this poor canine family. 

Unfortunately, the rescue mission did not start well. 

Taking Care Of The Little Ones

This good man threw food in front of the mother dog with the best of intentions. Sadly, what he least expected happened – the mother dog suddenly got up and left, leaving her babies behind.

He ran after her, but this agitated dog was already far away. The rescuer was sad and heartbroken, but he didn’t have much time to despair. He immediately took the three puppies in his arms and placed them in a bag. 

After arriving home, the man settled the puppies in a small nest and used heating pads to make them warm. The puppies huddled together and stopped crying, finally feeling safe. 

Two brown puppies were girls, and a white one was a boy. The boy stood his ground much better than the girls who ate less, and therefore, had less energy. Still, the man’s wife somehow managed to feed them all, and when they were full, they finally fell asleep. 

It was a true blessing watching these three angels sleep soundly in a warm and comfy bed, knowing that their souls were finally safe. 

Difficult Life Moments

On the weekend, while the babies were sleeping, the man came to search for the mother dog. He saw her near the location where he first found her and her puppies, and the hope that he would reunite the mother with her little ones came back. 

Unfortunately, as he approached her, she distanced herself more and more from him, eventually disappearing again without a trace. The mother dog had obviously lost her trust in people, and we all know who is to blame for that. 

Disappointed and broken, the man returned home hoping the furry babies would cheer him up, but instead, he learned even worse news. One of the female puppies who was already weak didn’t make it and crossed the rainbow bridge. 

It took him a long time to cry all the tears after all these difficult moments that happened in a short time. Fortunately, when he saw the remaining two puppies and realized that they were healthy and thriving, the smile returned to his face.

However, since he didn’t want to risk anything anymore, after a few days, he took them to the vet to see if they had any serious health problems. It turned out that was a good decision as the vets found fluid in their stomachs.

Because the female puppy was weaker than the boy, they had to pay special attention to her so that her life would not be endangered. Luckily, everything went well, and this girl progressed quickly, eventually opening her eyes for the first time.

Soon after, her brother did the same, and that marked a new beginning for these two furry beings. 

It Was All Worth It In The End

The furry brother and sister were growing and thriving every day, and their health was fantastic. That was the best sign that they were on the right path and that their future was bright. 

When they turned one month old, they were already a beautiful boy and girl full of life, love, and energy. They didn’t remove the smiles from their faces and they were playing with each other non-stop. 

Yet, these two truly blossomed when they turned three months old. Only then could their dad see what beauties they were and how truly blessed he was to have them around.

It was a reward for all the tears and heartbreak he had to go through since the day he first met them. And, there is no greater reward than the opportunity to feel love from the souls you saved and gave a new chance to.

It’s a feeling worth living for.
