Abandoning a dog is truly a horrible thing to do, especially when they are really young. But what’s even worse is when they are just left to starve.

There is not much a young puppy can do on the streets to survive, so leaving them on their own guarantees that they won’t make it without help.

It doesn’t have to be that way. Transferring them to a shelter will make sure they get another chance, and it will help make someone else happier.

This puppy was abandoned on the highway, where there was a very strong chance that he would be hit by a car, but his luck took a turn for the better.

A Puppy In The Box

When a taxi driver was driving down the highway, he stumbled upon a box in the middle of the road. He suspected that something was going on, so he stopped.

He got out of the car and went to inspect it. When he opened the box, he was shocked to see a small puppy inside.

The man immediately called the rescuers for help, and they were on the highway in no time. When they examined the puppy, they noticed that he was trying to get out of the box.

He struggled, so they helped him. They realized that there was something wrong with his neck, and he probably needed a visit to the clinic.

The rescuers immediately put him in the vehicle and rushed to help him. Once they were at the nearest pet hospital, the vets took him in.

They fed him first because he wasn’t yet able to eat on his own. After an examination, the rescuers came to the conclusion that he had a twisted neck due to an injury.

He also has joint problems because of that, and the muscles in his neck were damaged. Other than that, he had no other major health problems.

A Long Treatment

The vets immediately started treating him. With time and care, this sweet dog was able to slowly turn his neck.

It wasn’t much, but it was progress, and that’s something. His weight was going up, which meant that his diet was working.

Every vet was so proud of the puppy for his amazing progress. His confidence grew and he regained a lot of his strength.

He is starting to be really playful, but the rescuers are making sure he doesn’t injure himself. His neck has almost completely recovered.

The veterinarians decided to do one final check to see if everything was okay. When the results confirmed that he was completely healthy, they discharged him from the clinic.

One of the rescuers who had decided to care for him immediately took him in. It took him a while to adapt, but he’s doing a lot better now.

The puppy now has another dog sibling and loves to play all the time. He is so grateful to have this opportunity. 

As a few more months went by, this amazing dog became almost completely unrecognizable. He had grown so much and was just enjoying himself.

I am glad to see he is doing so well because this story serves as a great example of how simply calling for help is enough to change a puppy’s life completely.
