It only takes one kind-hearted human to change a dog’s life completely.

And, in Jelly’s case, it was her mom!

This Washington Pittie mix weathered numerous storms before she stumbled upon her new family. She was severely neglected by her owner, and then cruelly dumped in an alley and left there.

Jelly hasn’t had an easy start in life, yet she still chooses love every single day!

Left In A Devastating Condition

The reason behind Jelly’s abandonment is still vague to this day. However, her new mom assumes that she was abandoned due to her illness.

At the time, Jelly was very sick and had problems with her digestive system. Instead of treating her, the owner decided to leave her for good. Scared and all alone in the world, Jelly had a hard time adjusting to new circumstances.

Luckily, she didn’t have to wait too long to be found.

“She was very sick at the time. She was not digesting her food very well. I think that’s the reason why she was abandoned. If she would not have been found that day, that probably would not have had a good outcome,” Jelly’s momma told GeoBeats Animals.

When she first arrived at her new home, she was quite reserved and shy. She needed exactly one month to come out of her shell and start trusting her new people. But, once she overcame that part of her life – she transformed into the sweetest lovebug!

Jelly, the Pittie, couldn’t be more grateful for her new family.

In only one month, she had a whole new life and a wonderful circle of lifetime friends that loved her unconditionally.

She Has Everything She Ever Dreamed Of

Her mom already had two other dogs when Jelly joined the family. She initially wanted to foster her, but this sweet Pittie girl soon stole everyone’s hearts. It was just impossible to imagine her in another home, so the family decided to keep her.

For the first time, Jelly felt at home next to her older doggo sister, Nala, and her brother, Banzai!

She was literally a baby sibling that everyone took care of. Nala and Banzai were so protective of her, and they even acted as parents who always made sure to keep her as neat and sweet as possible!

“Both Banzai and Nala are so maternal and paternal towards Jelly. When she was a puppy, they would make sure that she was all dry and clean,” her momma says.

Still, Jelly’s absolute favorite person in the world is her dad! Even though she always goes running to momma if she’s scared or wants attention, her dad is the one human that makes the perfect playmate.

“My husband is her favorite person because he’s her biggest playmate,” Jelly’s mom adds. 

It is safe to say that Jelly has the perfect little life in her new Washington home! She embarks upon endless adventures with her family, engages in the most hilarious “talks” with the neighbor’s dogs, and has everything and everyone revolve around her!

She even has very vivid dreams after an active day, which makes her look hilarious!

After all the hardship, Jelly is one happy-go-lucky pup today that wouldn’t trade her life for anything! She has everything she has ever needed, and more.

And, her family couldn’t be more grateful for having her!
