It breaks my heart that so many dogs endure mistreatment and neglect at the hands of their own family.

Instead of giving their canines all the love in this world, their careless owners fill their innocent hearts with fear and make them feel unworthy of love.

Hope, a one-year-old pup, spent her whole life tied to a fence. The sweet pooch never felt the love and care that she deserved.

Her eyes became filled with despair and sadness. Hope stopped believing that she would ever get the chance to taste freedom and enjoy life.

Rescuers Find Hope

The rescuers at Street Paws were devastated when they found Hope tied up on a short chain by a house entrance. 

The pup was in a bad state. She was skinny and her fur was falling out.

When Hope noticed the rescue team, she wanted to hide from them. She was scared.

Eli, one of the rescuers, gently stroked the pooch, telling her that everything would be alright. She held Hope’s face in her hands and looked at her sad eyes.

“Her eyes were full of desperation. After talking to her owner, she was only one year young and kept on that chain 24/7. She was exposed to the insane heat and sun…” Eli told The Dodo.

The rescuers talked to Hope’s owners and convinced them to surrender the pup into their care. 

The good humans took Hope in their arms and promised to help her change her life.

The pooch was frightened, but she felt that she could trust her saviors. As Eli carried her, Hope wagged her tail. 

The kind humans placed her in a crate and drove her to the rescue.

Once they arrived, Eli held the pup in her arms and introduced her to the other dogs. The canines gathered around Hope, sniffed her, and welcomed her to the pack.

The little pooch seemed surprised to meet the other canines.

“She had absolutely no experience with socializing with other dogs, or humans,” Eli added.

Hope was nervous and insecure. She needed some time to settle in.

Feeling Loved For The First Time

After the dog’s rescuers gave Hope a bath, they took her to the vet for a complete checkup.

Fortunately, the doggo was alright. She only needed love and care in order to regain her strength and heal her emotional scars.

Hope’s heroes took care of her and cuddled with her.

The dog felt cherished and loved for the first time in her life. Her eyes glimmered with hope and her fears began disappearing.

As time went by, the doggo started thriving.

A year later, Hope recovered completely. Her rescuers took her to the beach so that she could join the pack walks.

They were nervous and they wondered how Hope would react.

However, once her heroes brought her to the beach, the pup started running with a smile on her face. She melted their hearts.

“She was just happy. She was just bouncing around, and we were just worried for no reason. And she absolutely loves the beach,” Eli said.

Hope couldn’t stop smiling. Her rescuers healed her emotional wounds and helped her build her confidence.

The only thing that Hope needs in order to be truly happy is a loving forever home. The pooch hopes to find humans who will cherish her and give her their unconditional love.

She deserves to live a life filled with happiness.
