When a devoted animal lover received a phone call from a little schoolgirl, he never imagined she would be calling about this.

With sadness in her voice, the girl explained that she heard some faint cries coming from a box thrown in a landfill. After doing some investigating, she found out it was a little puppy crying his heart out, begging for help.

Heartbroken, she decided to call for help. The rescuer immediately dropped everything he was doing and made his way to the landfill!

You Are Safe Now

As soon as the rescuer arrived, he, too, heard the pup’s cries. Luckily, he was able to follow them straight to the pup. As soon as he saw the state this poor baby was in, the rescuer’s eyes began filling up with tears.

This little puppy was thrown out like a piece of trash. His previous owner had no consideration for him, completely forgetting that he had emotions, too.

Plus, the pup was so small that he was still crying for his mother, hoping that she was nearby. The rescuer knew that this sweet boy needed a lot of love and attention now, so he carefully picked him up, took him to his car, and drove him to the vet.  

For the entire ride home, the pup held on to the rescuer’s hand, continuing to cry uncontrollably.

The rescuer realized that the pup must have been in a lot of pain since his eyes were closed tightly and he was unable to open them. He also noticed that the top of his head was completely bald.

When they arrived at the vet’s office, the medical staff immediately gave the pup a bottle of milk. This not only filled up his little tummy, but it also helped him to understand that he was finally safe.

The yummy meal put this sweet boy immediately to sleep, providing him with some rest. As soon as he woke up, however, he was given a complete head-to-tail checkup.

It was determined that he had a cold and a blood disorder. He also had some issues with his eyes that needed to be further tested. But, before the test results came back, the rescuer was able to take the pup to his home.

This proved to be super helpful as he was finally able to relax and decompress completely.

The Beginning Of Something Beautiful

After some quality time with his new family as well as a good night’s rest, the pup was taken back to the vet’s office first thing in the morning.

The vet explained to the hooman that the pup had some issues with his tear ducts. They were not producing enough tears, meaning that the pup would have to use eye drops to keep his eyes moist.

This meant that his hoomans had to put in eye drops multiple times a day.

Since his rescuer was such an incredible hooman, he had no problem doing it until he found the perfect forever home. And, just a couple of months later, he did exactly that.

A loving family heard about the pup’s story and were so inspired by his resilience that they decided that they couldn’t go another day without him by their side.

The pup’s new family, along with his new furry siblings, made sure that he forgot all about his troubling past and fully embraced his new future.

They had no trouble giving him the daily medicine that allowed him to lead a normal and happy life.
