Dogs should not have their hearts broken by the people they love the most.

And yet, many canines who dedicated their lives to their heartless families end up feeling rejected and unloved.

A canine named Bastian felt brokenhearted when his owner dumped him at an abandoned construction site after living together for ten years.

Left without food and water, the malnourished pup began losing strength.

At night, Bastian felt sad and lonely as he curled up on a dirty bed his owner left for him. Although he was betrayed, the dog deeply cherished the only thing he had from them.

A Good-Hearted Human Helps The Pup

Luckily, Bastian’s neighbor contacted a dog rescuer and told her about the canine’s situation. Deeply worried for the pup, the woman jumped to his aid.

When she arrived at the site, Bastian was hopelessly sifting through the trash, trying to find something to eat.

The woman’s heart became overwhelmed with sadness.

The doggo was in a terrible state. His fragile body was infested with ticks. He barely had the strength to stand on his paws.

The moment Bastian saw the rescuer, he started slowly moving toward her. 

The pooch looked at the woman with his eyes filled with tears as if he was asking her to take him somewhere safe.

The heartbroken rescuer talked to Bastian and reassured him that everything would be alright.

After she fed the pooch and gave him some water, the giant-hearted human rushed him to a hospital.

Receiving Urgent Help

The vet team examined Bastian and gave him immediate medical attention. 

The malnourished dog was found to be severely anemic, and he was in critical condition.

He was also diagnosed with ehrlichiosis, an infectious disease that dogs develop after being bitten by ticks.

Bastian was hospitalized, and he started receiving treatment.

As the doctors fought to save the dog’s life, his rescuer stayed by his side. She held Bastian’s paw in her hands and stroked him gently, encouraging him not to give up.

Gradually, Bastian started showing signs of improvement. The pooch ate well, and he made efforts to walk.

His rescuer cheered him on, and she gave him a lot of love.

Bastian’s eyes were still sad. He needed some time to leave his past behind and start believing in a better tomorrow.

The rescuer bought him a new bed, and the pup loved it. 

Finding His Happily Ever After

As days went by, the doggo became stronger and stronger.

After Bastian was discharged from the hospital, his hero brought him home. She took care of him and showered him with love. 

Bastian started smiling and wagging his tail.

His giant-hearted caregiver fed him nutritious food, and the pup began gaining weight. His steps became steadier.

Bastian’s hero found him a loving family. When the pooch met his mom, he was smiling from ear to ear.

Before moving in with his new family, Bastian kissed his rescuer goodbye. 

His beautiful eyes twinkled with happiness as he started the best chapter of his life. The faithful canine finally had the humans who deserved his immense love.
