Some people, indeed, make the world a better place.

Thanks to their selfless efforts, a plethora of abandoned animals get the help they need and ultimately find a forever home.

One such case recently took place in Asheville, North Carolina, when a man passing by a bridge accidentally stumbled upon a discarded plastic tote. As he realized something was off, he decided to trust his gut and peek inside. 

What he discovered was truly shocking! 

He Trusted His Instinct

The box wasn’t empty. Quite the opposite; it contained the most shocking surprise of all, which was discovered only thanks to the man’s instinct. 

Right inside, on a hot summer day, was a tiny little family of puppies! They were snuggled next to each other in a small space, barely breathing and severely dehydrated. Given what the pups looked like, they were clearly abandoned by their previous owner.

The man couldn’t contain his shock, and he immediately jumped into action and contacted Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, from Asheville, North Carolina.

“A hot plastic tote bin left in the sun. Inside? A sweet face peeks up. It felt like he was asking, “Are you going to help us? I don’t feel so good,” the rescue wrote in their Instagram post.

Thanks to a giant-hearted rescuer, the pups were timely transported to the BWAR facility.

“A good person had a gut feeling and turned around to look inside. We are so grateful he did, because if not, they wouldn’t be experiencing the good part of living,” the rescue stated.

The Card Deck Litter Is Now Thriving

Upon arriving at the rescue, the pups were diagnosed with dehydration and respiratory infection. Fortunately, they arrived just in time and had no other issues developed.

They took to the new environment in no time and already started feeling better.

“After healing from dehydration and an upper respiratory infection, the pups feel incredible and show gratitude with zoomies and playtime. They really are soaking in every moment of this new, joy-filled world,” BWAR stated in an update post.

The rescue decided to name these resilient babies after a deck of cards. Given that they had luck on their side in what could only be described as the worst of times, their new names fit perfectly!

Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, and Spades, three males and one female, fully recovered in less than a week. Thanks to their unbreakable spirits, it took these puppies only a few days to come out of their shells and start exhibiting their playful personalities.

They’re already building toward full socialization and can’t wait to meet their forever families. Despite being through a lot in the recent past, the pups are eager to start a new chapter in their lives. 

In no time, I’m absolutely positive that we will be seeing amazing updates of them in new homes.
