When two rescuers were walking down the street, they saw something that completely broke their hearts.

A pup was wandering around, dragging her thin, tired body in hopes of finding something to eat.

Witnessing something so unfortunate, the rescuers knew that they had to do something in order to get this poor girl off the streets and provide her with the help she needed.

Thus, they took her in and began her recovery journey!

Long Road Ahead

First, they fed the pup some of their lunch which helped them gain her trust. Being so hungry, the pup ate the whole meal in the blink of an eye!

Carefully putting a leash around her neck, the rescuers were able to take her to their car and rush her to the nearby hospital.

During the entire car ride, the pup smiled at her rescuers as if she was trying to thank them for finally offering her a helping hand.

After receiving a thorough medical exam, the doctors determined that she was extremely malnourished. She also had some wounds on her body that became infected, meaning that she needed some ointment to make them heal faster.

When her test results came back, they showed that she had a reduced amount of red blood cells in her body. Thus, the doctors prescribed her medication that, if followed carefully, would ensure her to be as fit as a fiddle in no time.

And her hoomans made sure to do exactly that.

New Life

One of the things that the doctors prescribed was a curated diet.

So, when they brought him home, the hoomans prepared nutritious meals multiple times during the day which the pup gladly ate. Every plate that was handed to her was licked clean!  

The hoomans also applied ointment on her wounds regularly making them heal in no time.

After a whole month passed, the health of the pup improved drastically. She gained a lot of healthy weight, her wounds healed, and she was happier than ever!

Now, she is spending her days surrounded by hoomans and pups who remind her how special she is.

With all of the playdates she has, yummy meals, and cozy naps, she will be able to forget about her dark past in no time. I am sure that her future holds a loving forever home that will make her the luckiest girl around.
