Dogs dedicate their tiny lives to the people they love, even when that love isn’t reciprocated the way it should be. They don’t rethink, second guess, or overthink. It’s right there, their love served on a silver platter. You just need to take it.

Sadly, not all of these four-legged buddies have the privilege to taste true love. Some of them face terrible neglect and abuse, which often results in abandonment.

Pablito was one such case. 

He was heartlessly dumped on the sidewalk in the heat with no food and water. Yet, instead of trying to escape this horrible situation, Pablito chose to stay and wait. He loved his owner no matter what.

He Fainted While Waiting For His Hooman

Pablito’s heart was broken, but he didn’t give up. He persisted in waiting and hoped that his hooman would eventually come back for him.

That, sadly, never happened.

Instead, the kind rescuer, Claudia, spotted him when he fainted from the heat and immediately rushed to help. He offered Pablito some food and water and then moved him from the sun. 

He was brought to a foster home, where Pablito got his very own sleeping place. And, most importantly, security. 

For the first couple of days, he just stuck to his bed and moved far enough so he could reach his bowl of food. Then, again, he would return to his ‘safe haven.’

Pablito wasn’t an active dog, but his shyness was definitely not natural. He was still coping with the abandonment trauma and kept himself away from other dogs. During the first week, he never smiled or played with other dogs.

Every time he went to sleep, his body shook. Pablito was extremely restless, even during his cozy naps. He must’ve been really shocked by losing his favorite hooman. 

On top of all that, he had skin problems and a lump on his ankle, which was treated successfully.

Finally, A Safe Place

Claudia did everything in her power to help Pablito come out of his shell. She didn’t push anything and gave this sweet boi plenty of space to adapt. 

Yet, whenever she could, she showered him with kind words and treats. Deep down, she really wanted to bond with him, and soon enough, she made it!

It took Claudia less than two weeks to ‘wake up’ the real Pablito! And it was just pawesome! One day, after eating his meal and taking a cozy nap, he walked out that rescue door. The rest, as they say, is history!

For the first time since his rescue, Pablito had the courage to approach his foster buddies and play. His true character blossomed underneath those sad eyes, and Claudia couldn’t be happier.

He was just the sweetest dog. He wanted to cuddle, stay close to his furriends, and just enjoy himself.

Once he was finally better, Pablito was gifted with the single best surprise ever. He got a forever home!

A woman named Maria offered to provide this tiny furball with a forever home. He already had a big doggo family, and adding Pablito was the cherry on top!

He adapted into his new family perfectly, despite his bad experience from the past. It was evident that this boy craved someone to love and cuddle, and Maria was just the perfect match.

Alongside his new brothers and sisters, Pablito now takes on exciting new adventures, and he couldn’t be happier!
