We’ve all had those awkward moments at social gatherings.

For some of us, however, it’s not just an occasional thing – it happens every single time. I’m always so stiff, hoping that nobody would approach me so that I could be home as soon as possible.

Well, the other day, as I was scrolling through TikTok, I learned it’s not just humans who feel that way – dogs do, too!

An Adorable Exception

I’m sure that you are probably wondering how this is even possible.

Dogs are super social. They love hanging out with hoomans and receiving tons of attention.

Well, yes and no. While this may be true for most dogs, there are always certain exceptions. Not every pup has a bubbly, energetic personality. Some dogs just want to hang out in the comfort of their home with their loving hoomans.

One of those dogs is an adorable Blue Heeler named  Millie. And, even though her breed is known for being great with every single hooman they come around, this sweet girl just doesn’t know how to do so.

The Life Of The Party

When Millie’s parents are having a little party, she doesn’t really know what to do.

Instead of proudly walking through the crowd, demanding snuggles and pets, Millie hides away in a corner, trying to process what is happening.

And yes, this happens every single time and her mom, Mia Cherepko, decided to record it.

“She’s always been pretty anxious. In social events, she tends to hang out around me or my husband. Or like in the video she likes to sit in random spots around the house and just creep around. She wants to be social but doesn’t know how,” Cherepko told Newsweek.

As much as Millie wants to be included, something is just preventing her from doing so.

And, even when she gathers up the courage to stand up and move, she again ends up somewhere in the corner, looking around the room with the most awkward stare ever!

The Cutest Introvert Ever

Whenever there is a video of a dog doing something different, the internet eats it up!

Tons of hoomans gathered in the comments of this video, expressing their love and sympathy for this adorable girl.

“We would be two socially awkward girls together in the corner also too socially awkward to communicate why we are in the corner,” related one commenter.

“I feel like that is me if I were a dog,” wrote another.

The official account of Google even made the funniest comment, stating: “We can’t translate dog, but those eyes say ‘When are they leaving?’”

I’m pretty sure that we can all come to the conclusion that the way Millie feels at social gatherings is totally understandable.

All those strange faces and loud noises can make anybody feel a little awkward.
