I wonder if people who abandon their dogs ever think about how devastated the canines feel when they lose the only home they ever knew.

Feeling rejected and unloved, the abandoned pups wander the lonely streets, hoping to encounter a loving human that would fill their hearts with hope.

Bailey, a senior blind and partially deaf pup, knows how it feels to lose everything in life. 

Her owners adopted her from a shelter when she was just a puppy. Sadly, later on, they betrayed Bailey and left her on the streets to fend for herself.

The canine dragged her tired paws along the streets, searching for a little bit of human compassion.

Good Humans Rush To Rescue Her

Ten years after Bailey was adopted, the rescuers at Baldwin Park Shelter in California found her roaming the streets, and they jumped to her aid. 

They took her in. The canine’s skin was in bad condition. It was covered in infections due to severe flea allergies. 

The kind-hearted people at Wags and Walks, a non-profit organization, pulled her out of the shelter.

When they saw her for the first time, their hearts broke.

“When we first saw her up close, it was heartbreaking. We weren’t really prepared for the neglect that was quite obvious based on how crusted over her eyes were, based on her skin condition,” Erica told The Dodo.

Bailey’s amazing rescuers took her under their care and showered her with cuddles, letting her know that they were there for her. 

Feeling the gentle touch of their hands made Bailey feel secure and loved.

Her rescuers were surprised to see how sweet she was. They expected her to be timid and shy because she was badly treated by humans. 

Bailey trusted her heroes and absorbed their love.

The pup couldn’t contain her joy. Her tail kept wagging, and her face beamed with joy every time her rescuers snuggled with her.

Bailey was born blind, but she adapts well to her environment. Although she sometimes bumps into things, she doesn’t get discouraged.

The pooch receives the medical treatment that she needs. 

Since she spent many years on the street, she has to wear sweaters to protect her skin from the elements.

Looking For Loving Forever Parents

Moli, a wonderful foster, met Bailey, who captivated her with her sweet disposition. 

“She just seemed really sweet, really nice. She just needed a place to stay. So I jumped at the opportunity,” Moli told The Dodo.

She brought her home and gave her a lot of love. Whenever Moli strokes her, the canine can’t stop smiling.

The doggo was happy to receive the human love she had lacked all those years spent alone.

Despite receiving a lot of love at her foster home, Bailey dreams of finding her place under the sun. 

She longs to meet humans who would love her unconditionally and who would accept her just the way she is.

Bailey loves spending time outside. Her foster mom believes that she would do well in a home with a big backyard that she could explore.

I hope that the California sweetheart will soon find loving humans who will never give up on her.

After all the lonely years she spent feeling unloved, Bailey deserves to be cherished and adored forever.
