Most people hate alarms. It’s just one of the sounds that can make anyone feel stressed out because it is sudden and scary.

However, it’s not always like that and it’s not the same for all people. Some people like them, others don’t. Then, there are the people who have different ways of waking up entirely.

Samantha Welborn is one of those lucky few. She is woken up every morning by the same four-legged ‘clock’ who is always there for her, and she wants to share her story.

Toby, The Alarm!

When Samantha goes to bed, she is one of the few who doesn’t have to worry about setting her alarm clock to make sure she will wake up on time the next morning.

Almost every morning, she is visited by her dad’s dog, Toby, who comes in and politely asks her for playtime.

Toby is a Border Collie who loves to play all the time. He would always come to the window of her room and try to wake her up for some fun.

She always greets him warmly and gives him a lot of pets as he is just the most adorable cuddlebug. 

Naturally, aside from wanting to play with Samantha, this sweet pooch is also friends with her dogs, Ellie and Leo, who are always eagerly waiting for him.

They enjoy their adventures whenever they can, whether it’s through thick snow in the winter or a hike in the mountains during the summer. They love it all.

The amazing trio always plays all the time, and Samantha is always happy to start her day this way.

Wholesome Reaction

Samantha loved Toby, so she decided to share the clip where he wakes her up on TikTok. It’s safe to say that the responses were completely heartwarming.

One person commented: “So many things I like about this…you live close to your Dad, you love dogs, the dogs love each other!”

I have to agree. I have always loved dogs and seeing them get so excited for playtime is just so wholesome. They create many precious memories with us.

It’s not being dramatic. It just means we all share the same love for our furry friends who are always there for us. I completely understand.
