The moment the rescuers at Street Life To The Sweet Life learned that there was an abandoned pup near the highway in Texas, they jumped to her aid.

After they arrived at the scene and saw the terrified Chihuahua mix for the first time, the rescue team felt utterly sad. 

They knew that they had to be careful in capturing her. The last thing the kind-hearted humans wanted was to scare the canine into traffic.

They needed to come up with the perfect plan.

Rescuing A Terrified Pup

The pup, later named Brie, kept waiting for her family to return for her. She spent days looking around, hoping to catch a glimpse of their faces. 

Brie didn’t know that her owners betrayed her and that they abandoned her forever.

Her rescuers were brokenhearted for the pup. They were resolved to do whatever it took to bring her to safety.

The good humans came up with a great strategy. 

They decided to use construction netting to isolate her. Their biggest fear was that Brie would jump the barriers.

One of the members of the trapping team, named George, cornered Brie with a catch pole and managed to capture her.

Brie was scared. She didn’t know that her life was about to change in ways she couldn’t even imagine.

The dog’s rescuers took her in their arms and wrapped her in a blanket. Brie realized that she could trust them. She felt safe.

Her human friends breathed a sigh of relief because they finally rescued the canine.

Street Life To The Sweet Life took her under their care and fell in love with her. She was adorable.

They were convinced that the pup would find a wonderful family that she deserved.

Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, took her in and promised to help her find wonderful humans.

Receiving The Unconditional Love

The rescue placed her in a loving foster home.

Her foster family gave her time to decompress. After she felt more relaxed, she met her furry foster siblings – a puppy and a cat.

Brie loved playing with the puppy, but she was a bit more cautious with the cat.

She was nervous when she met new people. It was clear that the canine needed some time to build her confidence.

Her foster family treated her affectionately and gave her all their support. 

Little by little, the pup started displaying her sweet personality. She turned into a lap dog. 

Thanks to the selfless love that the fosters showered her with, Brie became ready to start searching for her place under the sun.

On May 7th, 2024, Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue shared the happiest news. Their girl found her forever home.

“This little lady landed herself an incredible human and has settled right in to her new routine. We will be cheering Brie and her new family on as they embark on this new adventure together,“ the rescue wrote in a Facebook post.

Brie was enchanted to meet Mija, her furry foster sister. 

The two sisters loved spending time together. They enjoyed looking out of the window and doing neighborhood surveillance.

The sweet pup felt lucky because she found a loving forever mom who would give her the unconditional love her heart wished for.
