Adorable Mama Pup Was ‘Pancaked’ To Shelter Floor, Hoping Somebody Would Notice Her
When a Good Samaritan noticed a puppy roaming around the streets of Arizona, they decided to approach her and see if she needed help. However, as soon as they got close enough, they noticed that this sweet pup was actually pregnant.
Taking her to the county shelter, the Good Samaritan explained to the workers what had happened.
The shelter took her in immediately and contacted another shelter, knowing they would offer far better treatment for this amazing soon-to-be mama.
One Day At A Time
As soon as Sky Sanctuary Rescue, an animal shelter based in Arizona, heard the story about this sweet girl, they immediately agreed to take her in.
“We found her pancaked on the cement floor and trembling in fear. It took some gentle coaxing but finally, she built up the courage to walk on the leash,” Sky Sanctuary Rescue wrote in a Facebook post.
After comfortably putting the pup, now named Pony, in the car, which took a couple of tries, they were off to start her new life.
When they arrived at the shelter, the staff had already prepared a nice, cozy bed for Pony so that she could relax and feel at home.
The staff made sure to provide her with everything she needed, as they knew that she could go into labor at any given moment.
And they were right! Not even a day later, Pony gave birth to the most adorable litter ever!
Bringing a handsome boy and seven beautiful girls into the world, Pony has never been prouder of herself, and she has the incredible Sky Sanctuary staff to cheer her on the entire way.
Pony took on her new role very seriously. She spent every single day hanging out with her adorable litter, making sure they were well-fed and squeaky clean.
One Proud Mama
Being in such a loving and healthy environment, the puppies grew up big and strong in no time!
They started running around all over the place, playing with their toys and each other, and having group naps as soon as they got tired—which was every hour or so!
“Pony + her puppies are doing exceptionally well. Pony is a wonderful mom and her young are as sweet as can be. Can you believe that they are about to turn five weeks old? They are so big!” the shelter wrote.
Even though this sweet family will be staying in the shelter’s care, the staff is already looking for potential families that will be able to provide each and every pup with a happy and loving forever home.
I am sure that when the time is right, this entire litter, as well as their mama, will lead the most pawesome life ever!
Until then, happy playdates!
